C2A... FYI

Convoy of Hope feeds 6,000!

Friends,

Thank you to all of the churches and individual volunteers who took part in Saturday's Convoy of Hope!  It was an amazing success (check out some pictures below) and we are praising God for all that He did:

  • 6,000 people attended the event between 8:45am and 2pm!
  • 5,900 people were prayed with individually!
  • 455 people were born again, including over 70 children!
  • 40,000 lbs of groceries were given away!
  • Over 800 volunteers from 65 local churches served at the event!

It was incredible to see the Body of Christ at work like that...serving strangers, helping the needy, doing the "dirty work" like taking down 4,000 feet of orange fencing in less than 30 minutes!  It was a great reminder of what God can do through His Body when we link arms in Kingdom work.  Note - it was never God's design that government should take care of the poor and needy...that's supposed to be our job!

It is our hope that this type of activity will be on the rise in our community.  We don't need to look for societal transformation in the halls of government...the answer lies within the Body of Christ as we die to ourselves and live for our Savior.

Thanks again to all who took part in Convoy of Hope!

In His Service & Yours,

Steve Noble

This was a few minutes before we opened the gates...we opened early because the line was so long!

The Prayer Tent where 120 volunteers prayed with each guest and shared the Gospel!

40,000 lbs of groceries arrived via the tractor trailer in the background...each Guest of Honor was given two big bags and given hugs and a fond farewell as they exited the event...it looked like we would run out of groceries by noon, but God answered our prayers and the "loaves & fishes" lasted until 2:00pm!
