Our Nativity Display and the Freedom from Religion Foundation

Friends,
This December marks our 4th Annual Nativity Display in downtown Raleigh and the timing could not be better!
- The City of Raleigh has just launched "Winterfest"...we actually approached them about sponsoring a night with Christmas Carols and a reading of the Christmas Story from the Bible but the person in charge of the event thought that would be "too religious".
- The Raleigh chapter of the Freedom from Religion Foundation will be putting up a "Winter Solstice" display in Moore Square...we are happy to report that we have exchanged very friendly emails with the group and they have been very accomodating regarding where our display is to be located (they actually had their paperwork in first but have given us first choice on where to set up). We don't know what message their display will send, but here is an example of one they put up last year in Olympia, Washington:
"At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail."
"There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell."
"There is only our natural world."
"Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts
and enslaves minds."
We are grateful for this opportunity to draw such a stark contrast between our biblical worldview and that of the secularists and even our own government! Will you partner with us as we seek to Proclaim His Name and touch the lives of those less fortunate this Christmas season?
A Called2Action supporter has graciously agreed to cover the cost of the Nativity display but we also want to supply as many blankets, coats, hats & gloves as we can to the many homeless folks who gather down at Moore Square. We also want to give as many as we can to the Raleigh Rescue Mission who will continue to give them out during the winter! Will you make a tax-deductible donation TODAY to help us meet these needs?
You can make an online donation by clicking here or just mail a check for C2A to PO Box 99162, Raleigh NC 27624.
We are planning a time to gather down at the Nativity display for prayer, Scripture reading, singing and passing out blankets to the homeless so be on the lookout for that announcement and then make plans to join us!
In His Service & Yours,
Steve Noble
