C2ActionGram NC moves to REMOVE OUR NATION'S FOUNDING from High School History! Friends, First of all, PLEASE FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERY NORTH CAROLINA CONTACT YOU HAVE!!! WARNING The NC Department of Public Education has proposed a new high school history curriculum that starts in 1877, eliminating the very founding of this great nation!
The progressive, historical revisionism that seeks to undermine the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation is alive and well within the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. When questioned by Fox News, Rebecca Garland, the Chief Academic Officer for the NC DPI said, "We are certainly not trying to go away from American history. What we are trying to do is figure out a way to teach it where students are connected to it, where they see the big idea, where they are able to make connections and draw relationships between parts of our history and the present day." What kind of an answer is that? OF COURSE they are going away from American history and how can students get "connected to it" if they don't even learn it? What "big idea" are they going to see without an understanding of our nation's founding? The one these progressives want them to see. Ms. Garland defends the move by pointing out that NC children learn about our nation's founding in middle school. Is a cursory overview of our nation's founding and the following 100 years really going to make a lasting impression on a room full of 12-year olds? Of course not. We have until February 15th to defeat this scheme! Here is what you need to do:
If we don't stay on this every high school in North Carolina will be forced to ignore our nation's founding. Don't delay! Send your emails and make your calls right away! In His Service & Yours, Steve Noble Back to Home Page |
