C2A... FYI Great news! Friends, Our efforts to stop the high school history curriculum changes in NC have paid off! The committee in charge of the changes is "going back to the drawing board" according to Rebecca Garland, the Chief Academic Officer for the NC DPI. In a radio interview this morning Ms. Garland referenced the avalanche of emails and calls her office received as an indication that the public would not stand for the proposed changes. We received several emails from NC high school history teachers that were just as alarmed as we were and many School Board members here in Wake County publicly voiced their opposition as well. Thank you to all of you who took the time to engage! We must remain vigilent and ready to engage as this process moves forward. Please take a moment to say "Thank You" to Ms. Garland for acting upon our concerns. Her email is rgarland@dpi.state.nc.us In His Service & Yours, Steve Noble Back to Home Page |
