C2A... FYI Glenn Beck Part 2 Friends, When I did the show on Glenn Beck two weeks ago I didn't know what a can of worms it would open up! I've had all kinds of email exchanges...some didn't know Beck was a Mormon...others were mad because they believed I was "attacking one of our best"...still others didn't see a link between Beck's radio & television popularity and his Mormonism. Is Glenn Beck's Mormonism an issue? Does it matter that Mormonism is a cult? Is it ok to separate our glee over Beck's ability to champion the conservative message from the concern that he is a member of a false religion? We spent 18-months questioning the associations of Barack Obama (which was the right thing to do), including his Pastor and his Pastor's Black Liberation Theology, but it's wrong to question the associations of "one of our own"? I'm not trying to tear down Glenn Beck or somehow impede his ability to voice the conservative viewpoint...but I believe we MUST test the Spirits as God's Word commands us to do...and I don't believe we can ignore any person's ability to lead people into a false religion.
